Jenna LaMaster Unveils Jubilant New Single, “More of Them”
Rising country artist Jenna LaMaster is back with a feel-good anthem, “More of Them,” available now on all major streaming platforms. This autobiographical track, co-written by LaMaster with acclaimed songwriters Jason Nix and Wyatt McCubbin, celebrates the people and experiences that shape us, packaged in a lively and infectious groove that promises to resonate with listeners.
“It’s time for a tempo,” says LaMaster. “I am so happy to get to share mine, ‘More of Them,’ with the world. I’m typically a sucker for a sad song, but I’m excited to get to show my listeners another layer of my artistry and more of who I am with this fun autobiographical song. This song was inspired by my story and all of the people who have made an influence in my life, but I think it could be a lot of your stories as well. That’s the beautiful part about country music—it tends to show us that we are all a lot more alike than sometimes we think we are.”
The song was inspired by people in Jenna’s life who helped along her incredible journey from Northern California to the professional rodeo circuit and eventually to Nashville – along with all the ups and downs along the way.
“Before our writing session, I had been thinking about how the older I get, the more I see all of the people who have poured into my life whenever I look in the mirror. That every experience I’ve had (good and bad) has helped shape the person I am today,” LaMaster reflects. “I shared the idea with Jason and Wyatt, and they instantly came up with the guitar groove. Once we had that, the lines just started falling out. I knew it was a special song the day we wrote it, but then taking it in the studio with Glenn Worf and Paul Franklin—that just took it to a whole new level!”
With its spirited melody and heartfelt lyrics, “More of Them” serves as both a mood-lifter and a poignant reminder to embrace the people who shape our lives.
“I want listeners to let loose and enjoy the groove of a fun tempo, but I also want to remind them to be proud of the person they see in the mirror,” LaMaster adds. “We have a tendency to only see our flaws, but the truth is, our faces tell a pretty great story about who we are if we’re willing to see the beauty in them.”
About Jenna LaMaster:
Originally from the mountains of Northern California, Jenna’s love for country music took root early, fueled by the 90s country music that filled the cab of her family’s farm truck.
Out on the rodeo circuit, Jenna always had her grandpa’s Martin guitar stashed in the trailer for downtime singalongs and to lead worship at Cowboy Church. As the passion for music became more fruitful than winning in the arena, she made the decision to trade the rodeo for a career in music. The barrel-racing western songbird realized her calling was to write lyrics that make people feel seen and understood – the very reason she fell in love with country music in the first place.
After moving to Nashville, Jenna signed a publishing deal and dedicated herself to honing her craft as a songwriter where she’s written songs for artists such as Ashland Craft, Kasey Tyndall, Faren Rachels, Dylan Marlowe, and Jake Worthington. In late 2023, she took the pivotal step of releasing her debut single, Drunk Thoughts – a raw, vulnerable story of heartbreak. Inspired by the authentic and honest country music that she grew up on, Jenna sought out producers and musicians who could capture her vision and sound, shaped by the influences of Lee Ann Womack, Patty Loveless, George Strait, and Miranda Lambert. She joined forces with the legendary Paul Franklin and Grammy-winning Glenn Worf to produce six songs – including her follow-up singles – to showcase her powerful songwriting and distinctive voice.
Proving herself as a rising star in country music, Jenna made her debut at the iconic Ryman Auditorium opening for country music legend Terri Clark and earning a standing ovation. She also hit the road with fellow westerner Ian Munsick and will be playing the “Next From Nashville” stage at Tortuga Music Festival next April.
